So a reader at Kotaku took a photo of a GTA:IV Mural he found on the side of a Manhatten building (a bit hard to miss me thinks).
You can find the article here at Kotaku.

For those who didn’t know, CES (the Consumer Electronic Show) is one over in America. While there has been lots of information flowing out of CES, most of it has been far to boring to bother our readers with.
If turns out that the fine folk at tech site ‘Gizmodo’ took the time to cause some industrial sized trouble, all thanks to ‘TV-B-Gone’ (pictured above). Basically ‘TV-B-Gone’ is a device that shut off TVs. And shut off TVs Gizmodo did… lot of TVs. Walls of TVs. TVs in the middle of displays. Big TVs during press conferences.
I implore you to check this video out… Sound is a must.

A Norwegian Boy, Hans Jorgen Olsen, survived a moose attack by feigning death, just like you learn at level 30 in World of Warcraft. The skill acquired at level 30 for hunters enables the character to fall to the ground and convince enemies they are dead.
This all occured during a walk in the local forest. His sister enraged a moose, he grabbed its attention at which point he feigned death.
According to Norwegian site Nettavisen , Hans and his sister apparently enraged one of the local moose (mooses? meese?) during a walk in the forest near their home. After shouting at the gigantic creature to ward it away from his sister, Olsen dropped to the ground, and presumably his lifebar plummeted to zero.
Moose have never been known as the wisest creature in the forest, and the boy’s show of necrosis seems to have worked, as both he and his sister survived intact.
Whilst comical in nature, the outcome was the best one could have hoped for. We are all glad he opted for the feign death option and not a combination of fireballs & lighning bolts.

It seems Blizzard have found another way to make money!
FigurePrints will allow World of Warcraft players to order customized 3D “figure prints” based on their in-game characters. Your character’s race, class, weapon, and gear is printed using a high-tech 3D color printing machine used by the manufacturing industry to build prototypes, converting three dimensional computer models into physical objects. You can even add your character’s name and customize their pose.
The site and service doesn’t open until December 11th and their FAQ is a little sparse on real details. Oh yeah, and they aren’t cheap — $99.95USD plus $14.95USD for Shipping and Handling. Ouch.
Still, having a physical 3D model of your in-game WoW character in which you have logged hundreds thousands of
hours played would be pretty cool to put on your deck.

Today I finally got Mass Effect for my very own, and that means I’ll be waving goodbye to ‘Call of Duty 4’ for a few weeks. I thought now would be a good time to reflect on what the ‘realistic’ battles in CoD4 have taught me about the realities of war.
* Small arms fire can penetrate walls and doors… but bombs from an air-strike can not.
* Russians speak English…. In a Russian accent.
* In war, you can fight for the British, Russians and Americans all in one day.
* RPGs are effective close combat weapons.
* No matter how many times you shoot a friendly in the face, he will not die.
* “Friendly” choppers do not give out hugs.
* Dancing from side to side, left to right in the middle of a firefight reduces your chances of death
* Knife wounds, even in the leg, are always instantly fatal
* The war in Iraq is obviously not about freeing the people or getting oil, so it’s probably about the USA’s attempt to hold three strategically irrelevant flags for as long as possible.
* In war you can shoot down a helicopter with your handy dandy desert eagle.
(Thanks to ‘Pure Evil’ from our forums, for helping me come up with some of these)
