If you’re a fan of past Civ games, you will enjoy this game, but there will be times were a missing level of detail will nag at you. You’ll find yourself surprised and delighted by the additions, but your long-term enjoyment will hinge on your ability to overlook its flaws.

So the reviews for Call of Duty 4 reviews have been pretty good - but before you rush off to give the local store your money, take a look at Joystiqs nega-review.
Joystiq have taken all the negitive points from CoD reviews at IGN, GameTrailers, 1UP, CheatCC, TeamXbox, PlanetXbox360, ActionTrip and CVG, and they have combined them into one mega-nega-review that paints a some what different picture of the up-coming game.

Even at its abridged length, “the game hits a brick wall of mediocrity and you’ll find yourself trudging unenthusiastically through the final hours of the game. A mixture of bad checkpoint placement, bizarre difficulty spikes, lazy design and blatant enemy spawn points suck the fun right out of proceedings. … If I had a virtual highlighter pen I could mark out a distinct fraction of the game that’s simply, inexcusably rubbish.”

Well the reviews are starting to flow in and we are starting to get a little bit excited. Ok so i am fibbing, we are very excited !!

With three days to go until release, scores returned from IGN of 9.4 for all 3 platforms certainly puts the COD4 hype train into another gear.

The long-awaited COD4, IW’s follow-up to the excellent Call of Duty 2, is a jarring, intense, and gripping take on war in the new millennia.
